MICHAEL TIMLIN
Regional Climatologist

Mike joined the MRCC in February 2009 as the Regional Climatologist.

He attended the University of Illinois, earning a BS in Chemistry and an MS in Atmospheric Sciences.

Following graduation Mike worked at the National Weather Service in Fort Wayne, Indiana for a year and then spent most of the 1990's in Boulder, Colorado. While there he worked at the CIRES - Climate Diagnostics Center, a joint institute of NOAA and the University of Colorado. In 1999, he returned to the Midwest to work for the University of Illinois in the Department of Atmospheric Sciences.
