Current Climate Situation in the Midwest

The temperature and precipitation figures are generated around 11:00 am Central Time each day. The snow maps are generated around 9:00 am each day. Attention: The source of the data for these maps comes from the U.S. Cooperative Network, augmented by observations from the relatively small number of NWS sites. These cooperative sites are operated by volunteer observers using approved instruments and observing techniques. It is only through their efforts that we have enough data to generate these maps.
