NOAA NWS Storm Prediction Center
The SPC monitors weather conditions around the country and issues timely and accurate forecasts and watches for severe thunderstorms and tornadoes over the contiguous United States. The SPC also monitors heavy rain, heavy snow, and fire weather events across the U.S. and issues specific products for those hazards. In addition to the outlooks and forecasts, the SPC site also contains an archive of storm reports and some very nice photographs of severe weather. |

This web site produced by the Department of Atmospheric Sciences at the University of Illinois integrates current and archived weather data with multimedia instructional resources. In addition to maps of current weather there are online guides to meteorology, reading and interpreting weather maps, and remote sensing. |
